Like a sheep I was led to the slaughter,
While my captors enjoyed the laughter,
My innocence, the tool against my intelligence,
and life took a new form as my spirit
took wings and flew to strange lands.
Morals imprisoned in corrals,
purity no one cosset,
virginity no more an asset,
thrown to dogs are virtues of immeasurable value,
evolving dialects, attracting diatribes,
I am the victim.
My chastity was stolen
and my constancy sold for a token,
The moonless night became
My habitation,
As my soul is caught in this tribulation,
losing morale
'cos I am stuck in a morass of deception
May the gods look on me with pity,
For I am the victim.
