Mental health has been identified as an important factor in determining productivity. There is a growing body of research that supports the idea that working with people who are mentally healthy enhances workplace performance. Studies have also shown that employees who suffer from mental illness are more likely to experience absenteeism, lower job satisfaction and reduced productivity.

Mental health conditions have been with us throughout our lives, shaping each and every one of us in different ways. Some have more severe conditions that impact their day-to-day lives, while others have more subtle conditions that still impact their productivity, work-life balance, and general well-being. No two individuals are the same, and no two conditions are the same.

Mental health conditions can impact our ability to think straight, to focus, to stay calm and organized, and to carry out our usual day-to-day tasks. In many cases, mental health conditions can also lead to physical health conditions, as untreated mental health conditions can lead to emotional distress and an abuse of drugs and alcohol.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to managing and treating mental health conditions. However, there are many ways to improve work-life balance through better mental health. Some of these ways include seeking professional help, setting realistic goals and targets, sticking to a healthy diet and exercise routine, and seeking social support. By managing our mental health conditions and improving our overall productivity, we can better balance our work and personal lives.
