A Change Is Gonna Come By Sam Cooke

A Change Is Gonna Come
I was born by the river in a little tent
Oh and just like the river I've been running ev'r since
It's been a long time, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
It's been too hard living, but I'm afraid to die
'Cause I don't know what's up there, beyond the sky
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
I go to the movie and I go downtown
Somebody keep tellin' me don't hang around
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will
Then I go to my brother
And I say brother help me please
But he winds up knockin' me
Back down on my knees, oh
There have been times that I thought I couldn't last for long
But now I think I'm able to carry on
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change is gonna come, oh yes it will

VIDA By Agebe Olonta Eineje

VIDA (LIFE)

By: Agebe Olonta Eineje

Covering my shame with a frown;
Trying to look serious.
I'm not always like this,
Guess you will never know me now.

Have to walk a million miles,
I heard a step will start the journey.
Running in my sleep; its the only world that is real to me now.

I shouted "change" a fortnight ago,
Now I'm not sure what I meant.
I love you, I hate you, they all sound the same to me of late.

The world is a mixing pot I believe,
The good, the bad they are like ginger and garlic. The aroma may not always be pleasant but a taste of both won't kill you.

FINDING HER Poem by: Agebe Olonta Eineje

FINDING HER
By: Agebe Olonta Eineje

With stuttering lips,
I opened the lids and
poured out my creeds,
hoping to find bliss.

She just stared,
eyes as bright as the stars,
quivering lips that seems to say,
I love you.

But she gently whispered;
"sorry I'm taken".

This God Is Too Good" lyrics

Nathaniel Bassey Lyrics

"This God Is Too Good"
(feat. Micah Stampley)

I know a God, who's merciful and kind
Faithful and gracious
I'm the apple of his eyes
The thought that fills His heart
Every Morning, noon and night
He loved me when I didn't care
And was patient till I came
Running back into His arms
Look how He turned my life around
Made me a shining star
His glory to reveal

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

Don't look too far to see
How good He is, just look at me
He took me from the miry clay
Set my foot upon the rock
I'm standing in His righteousness
He took away my sin and shame
Gave me a brand new name
His beloved and the redeemed
Look how He turned my life around
Made me a shining light
His glory to reveal

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

Jesus you're too good oh
Jesus you're too much oh
His grace is too much oh
His love is so deep oh

I don't deserve you
(I don't deserve you)
But I am grateful
(Always)
I don't deserve it
(No no)
But you love me anyway
So I worship you forever
Love you forever
This God is too good oh

Look what you've done for me
See how you set me free
How you washed me in your precious blood Jesus

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

I will worship Him forever
Love Him forever because
This God is too good oh

You are too good oooh
He's so good Jesus
You're too good oh
Wonderful
Glorious Jesus

Wagon Wheel By: Darius Rucker

Wagon Wheel

Heading down south to the land of the pines
I'm thumbing my way into North Caroline
Staring up the road and pray to God I see headlights
I made it down the coast in seventeen hours
Picking me a bouquet of dogwood flowers
And I'm a-hopin' for Raleigh, I can see my baby tonight
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel
Rock me momma any way you feel
Hey, momma rock me
Rock me momma like the wind and the rain
Rock me momma like a south bound train
Hey, momma rock me
I'm running from the cold up in New England
I was born to be a fiddler in an old time string band
My baby plays a guitar, I pick a banjo now
Oh, north country winters keep a-getting me down
Lost my money playing poker so I had to leave town
But I ain't turning back to living that old life no more
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel
Rock me momma any way you feel
Hey, momma rock me
Hey, rock me momma like the wind and the rain
Rock me momma like a south bound train
Hey, momma rock me
Walkin' to the south out of Roanoke
Caught a trucker out of Philly had a nice long toke
But he's a heading west from the Cumberland gap
To Johnson City, Tennessee
And I gotta get a move on before the sun
I hear my baby calling my name and I know that she's the only one
And if I die in Raleigh at least I will die free
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel
Rock me momma any way you feel
Hey, momma rock me
Oh, rock me momma like the wind and the rain
Rock me momma like a south bound train
Hey momma rock me
Oh, so rock me momma like a wagon wheel
Rock me momma any way you feel
Hey, momma rock me (mama rock me, mama rock me)
Rock me momma like the wind and the rain
Rock me momma like a south bound train
Hey, ey yeah momma rock me (you can rock me, rock me)
